Errol and Sasha, two somewhat disoriented characters in their twenties, are each aimlessly drifting through a city's gloomy winter days. Whilst casting a soft gaze on fragments of their everyday lives, people, stories, places and realities start to overlap and intertwine. Bluish describes a fragile state of being, a condition or rather an atmosphere of ambiguity and longing.
This film is a green production.

«[...] the style and technique of evoking liminality, through which the film sticks to the insides of one’s brain, are undoubtedly effective [...] Kraxner and Czernovsky place viewers in a state of remembrance, where time isn’t linear and memories pop up through the fog [...] a meditative, experimental sophomore film that is more of a trance-like cinematic concept than anything else [...] » Olivia Popp, CINEUROPA
«[...] sublime pursuit of connection and longing within the ordinary [...] Kraxner and Czernovsky are on their own wavelength, admiring how the subtleties of life make lasting impressions through attentive and matter-of-fact gestures. [...] » Michael Granados, Film Fest Report
«[...] The camera might be static but there is almost always a feeling of movement. It generates the hopeful sensation that these women have a freedom to do what they want, no matter how constrictive the world might sometimes be. [...] Bluish feels like a Generation Z cousin of Millennial mumblecore, the script stripped away so that we divine these young people’s moods as much by gesture and look as talk [...] Bluish is less about plot development than the characters’ quotidian existence in the liminal space that exists between teenagedom and fully fledged adulthood [...] » Amber Wilkinson, Screendaily
«[...] a journey through melancholy urban landscapes and the restlessness of youth [...] » Chris Jones, Overly Honest Reviews
«[...] A Pale Blue Glance at the Dullness of Life [...] despite the suggestion of the title, the dull filters of blue are no more than a theoretical reference or a game between the two filmmakers, and that’s so nice to watch. For a film with a premise that could easily send you to the land of boredom, “bluish” is ultimately a far more complex voyage [...] » Sofia Topi, High on Films
